FIRST FOOT GUARDS EVENTS, 2013
We invite you to come to our events, see what we do, and consider joining the Guards. All events are open to the public and are free except Old Sturbridge Village, Fort Ticonderoga, Colonial Williamsburg and Fort at Number 4 where there is a nominal admission fee. All events are subject to change due to weather or other cicumstances, so before attending an event, always check the event host's web site for the latest information. Most of these events repeat every year and there are photos and videos of many of them on our Photos and Videos pages.

Sun, April 7, 2013, Dress rehearsal for the battle on Lexington Green for the Patriots Day reenactment, 2-3:30pm (units arrive 1pm), Battle Green, Lexington center.
Sat, April 13, 2013, Battle Road reenactment, Hartwell Tavern and Captain William Smith house, MMNHP, Lincoln MA. 10am-1pm. Actual route of the embattled British return to Boston from Concord, April 19, 1775. Main battle at 11:30am from Bloody Angle to Hartwell Tavern, Parker's Revenge reenactment at 2pm near Fiske Hill, Lexington.
Sat, April 13, 2013, Tower Park Battle, Munroe Tavern and Tower Park, 1332 Massachusetts Ave., Lexington MA, 4-5pm. Large battle demonstration.
Sun, April 14, 2013, Lexington Patriots Day Parade, Massachusetts Ave., Lexington MA, from Maple St. to Lexington center, 2pm.

Sun, April 21, 2013, Revolutionary Graves Ceremony, Lincoln, MA, 2pm. March from Pierce House, 17 Weston Rd., along Old Lexington Rd. to a ceremony at the old Town Cemetery and back.
Sat-Sun, May 4-5, 2013, Gunston Hall, 10709 Gunston Rd., Lorton, Virginia near the Potomac River. 1781 Potomac River Raids reenactment. Skirmishing between members of the British Brigade and the Continental Line on the grounds of George Mason's mansion.
Sat-Sun, June 15-16, 2013, Battle of Monmouth, Monmouth Battlefield State Park, 16 Business Rte 33, Manalapan, New Jersey, Sat 10am-4pm, Sun 10am-3pm. 235th anniversary. Large battles with 800 to 1200 reenactors.
Sat-Sun, June 29-30, 2013, Under the Redcoat, Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia, 9am-5pm both days. Portrays life under martial law in Colonial Williamsburg during its brief occupation by the British army in the summer of 1781.
Thurs, July 4, 2013, Hingham July 4th Parade, Hingham, MA, 10am step off from Hingham High School on Pleasant Street and ending around 11am at Station Street. See web site below for parade route and parking.
Sat-Sun, July 6-7, 2013, Boston Harborfest. First Foot Guards patrol the Freedom Trail, downtown Boston, Sat 10am-4pm, Sun 11am-5pm. Old State House, Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, Old City Hall, Granary Burying Ground, King's Chapel, Old South Meeting House.
Sat-Sun, July 20-21, 2013, Salem Maritime National Historic Site Encampment, Derby Wharf, 193 Derby Street, Salem MA, 10am-4pm both days. British encampment, drills and demonstrations to commemorate the arrival of the newly appointed British Military Governor General Thomas Gage in Salem in June 1774. Gage moved the Massachusetts legislature to Salem, which became the seat of government during the summer of 1774.
Sat-Sun, Aug 3-4, 2013, Old Sturbridge Village encampment, Sturbridge MA, Sat 9am-8pm, Sun 9am-4pm. Large scale reenactment, many units, including artillery, and large battles both days with 800 to 1000 reenactors.
Sat-Sun, Aug 24-25, Fort at Number 4, 267 Springfield Rd (Rte 11), Charlestown (formerly township Number 4), NH. Large encampment at a large authentically restored wooden fort and settlement on the Connecticut River. Battles both days.
Sat-Sun, Sept 14-15, 2013, Fort Ticonderoga encampment, Ticonderoga NY. The 1777 Capture of Fort Ticonderoga. Large scale reenactment at reconstructed stone fortress on beautiful grounds overlooking Lake Champlain.
Sat-Sun, Oct 5-6, 2013, Burning of Kingston, Kingston, NY. Camp at Forsyth Park, Saturday battles at Hudson River beach and through historic section of town, Sunday tactical at Forsyth Park.

Sat, Oct 26, 2013, Battle of The Red Horse Tavern, Wayside Inn, Sudbury MA. A day of military activities and battle re-enactments on the grounds of the historic Wayside Inn.
